Eight Fixes For April Patch Tuesday

Microsoft has announced that there will be eight bulletins for tomorrow's Patch Tuesday.

If it's Tuesday, April 14, then it must be...Patch Tuesday. Yes, it's that time of the month again, and Microsoft has announced eight bulletins for tomorrow, addressing problems all currently supported versions of Windows and Windows Vista, as well as those in Office 2000, 2003, XP and Office 2007. There will also be a fix for the Mac versions of Office 2004 and Office 2008, fixing a problem in Excel that’s rated as "critical."

Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, Windows Vista and Server 2008 all have at least one vulnerability rated "critical" and others called "important."

IE6 and 7 for XP and Vista is receiving a critical update, while one for IE5 and 6 on Windows 2000 is also rated "critical," and "important" for Windows Server 2003 and 2007.
